I'm Lorie Lochansky and the Founder & Principal Designer of i4Design. I am an Interior Designer specializing in shades and blinds, draperies and wallpaper. My passion for design comes into play with every consultation!
In 2009, I launched i4Design in Fort McMurray, an interior design business focused on new construction, renovations and decorating as well as my first Hunter Douglas showroom. In 2016, my family relocated to our summer home in beautiful Kelowna where I opened a second showroom exclusive to window treatments. The Kelowna location has expanded to offer custom drapery, upholstery and wallpaper.
A couple of fun facts:
In 2021, I was awarded Silver in The Best of Kelowna for the category of Windows and Blinds; and in 2022, I was awarded Bronze in the same category. AND . . . My drapery and upholstery work has been featured in the October, 2022, issue of Style at Home magazine!
It would be my pleasure and privilege to help you with your window treatment design journey!
To share my knowledge and passion for Interior Design, by inspiring my clients to live beautifully, with quality and sustainable custom window treatments exclusive to Canadian suppliers. i4Design is based on the belief that customer service is the heart of my business and I strive to provide the best service in the industry.
To become the most locally recognized and inspirational window treatment brand, by creating beautifully curated homes with custom window treatments while engaging in and supporting local community causes.
I don't believe in good customer service. I believe in SUPERB customer service. As a small business owner in Kelowna, I am at the forefront of every aspect of your window treatment design journey, from confirming our initial appointment to attending the installation. But our relationship doesn't stop there. I believe in providing support through my After-Care Program should a later issue arise.
While some elements in our industry remain classic and timeless, new styles and innovative design are always evolving! It's critical to stay abreast on what is happening in the design world to offer you invaluable direction on the latest styles and trends in window treatments.
Our commitment to quality extends beyond using quality materials from reputable suppliers. Our local Kelowna seamstress boasts 35+ years in her industry and our professional installers are fully certified in their craft. We guarantee a quality product in all custom shades, drapery and wallpaper from start to finish.
I believe that all business owners have a responsibility to give back to their community and to support charitable organizations by whatever means possible. As a mom of an young adult with a developmental disability, I support two Kelowna organizations that are near and dear to my heart; CRIS Adaptive Adventures and Cool Arts Society.
CRIS Adaptive Adventures is a fabulous Kelowna organization and a pioneer in adaptive recreation. They offer guided programs in the community tailored to the needs of their clients to enable all people, regardless of ability, to participate in outdoor recreation and sport.
A portion of each sale is donated to this incredible organization.

Cool Arts Society is a non-profit local charity [and very cool 😎] that is dedicated to providing art opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities in our Kelowna community.
I am proud to be a Cool Arts Society Patron! As well, all expired fabric and textile sampling is donated to this amazing program to find new purpose and life.
